Our Sigil 

 

Our coven sigil is woven from several elements. 

 

The orbs of color are spheres on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. They align on their paths and hold the depth of many meanings. 

 

In this sigil, we pull in… 

Orange, as the sphere of Hod, Intellect, and Mind.

Green, as the sphere of Netzach, Emotion, and Heart.

Yellow, as the sphere of Tiphereth, Harmony, and synthesis. 

 

These three spheres create and exist within the scales. The spheres of Heart and Mind are cradled in silver crescent moons, symbolizing the element of Water and the powers of the Moon, creating the opportunity for introspection and reflection. 

 

The serpent is the seeker, willing to explore and change throughout its journey. As the serpent ascends the scales, passing the sign of our circle Aquarius, and winding its way through the balance of Mind and Heart, it rises beyond to the place of harmony and clarity. From this vantage point, and able to act in accord with its true Will, it can prepare to descend and make the journey again.

Our History 

 

The original chalice coven in the Assembly’s Circle of Aquarius, Chalice of the Living Stars (COLS), was dedicated as the 8th coven in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel in 2008. 

 

Through its journey, the group’s focus was centered on psychic work, creativity, and healing. It’s sigil also contained the sign of Aquarius for our circle and a crescent moon for the element of Water. 

 

As life presented its challenges and the group concluded their work together, the space in the Circle of Aquarius was held in stewardship by our elders, as they awaited the birth of a new chalice coven. 

 

We honor COLS and this group of seekers, for their time, joy, work, and lessons, as we embrace the Aquarius and crescent moon symbols within our sigil and our past. We carry them forward as we chart the new course for this reborn chalice in the Assembly.
